Workshop on Optimal Control of Partial Differential Equations

Optimal control of partial differential equations (PDEs) is a very active field of research in applied mathematics. In the recent past substantial progress has been achieved in this field concerning theoretical as well as numerical aspects.

The workshop is a reminiscence to the International Conference on Optimal Control of PDEs, held in Klaffenbach in April 1998. As it was the case in 1998, we wish to bring together international experts in the different branches of optimal control of PDEs and give an overview over most recent results and future challenges in PDE constrained optimization. In this way, we hope to stimulate the research in the field of optimal control of PDEs and develop new promising perspectives for future research and cooperations.
